General information
The Center for HydroMet and Environment Consultancy (HMEC) is a self- accountability scientific organization, operating directly under the former Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology, the present -day Vietnam Institute of Meteorology, Hydrology and Environment (IMHEN).
The functions, duties, powers and organizational structure of Vietnam Institute of Meteorology, Hydrology and Environment (hereinafter referred to as Institute) are promulgated in detail in the Decision No.1159/QĐ-BTNMT by the MONRE.
The Center for HydroMet and Environment Consultancy (hereinafter referred to as Center) has legal status, seal and transaction account of its own. It is entitle to the same rights and priorities granted to other scientific and technological institutions. The Center is empowered to operate in accordance with the Government Decree No. 115/2005/NĐ-CP, dated 5th September 2005, which
provides autonomous and self-accountability mechanism for state-run scientific and technological institutions; and with other associated guidelines for the implementation of this Decree.
It received the License of Scientific and technological Activities No. A-681, dated 29 October 2007, from the Ministry of Science and Technology.
