1.Undertake studies of scientific ground for the establishment of development strategy and policies on hydrology and water resources; participate in the formulation of development strategy on science and technology of the
2.Draft and submit to Director of the Institute for approval and implementation of projects, thematic studies on hydrology and water resources.
3.Take part in setting up process and norm, technical criteria as well as studying plan of hydrology and water resources development.
4.Perform hydrologic calculation serving for design of hydraulic structures in hydroelectricity, transportation, and other water resources works.
5.Organize the implementation of the programmes, projects and thematic studies on science and technology, and investigation on hydrology and water resources under the management of the Institute.
6.Undertake the contracts on thematic studies, applied science and technology transfer in hydrology and water resources as assigned by the State, Ministry and the Institute.
7.Perform postgraduate education programmes, including doctoral programme on hydrology and water resources.
8.Undertake appraisal reviews of the thematic studies on hydrology and water resources as assigned by the Institute.
9.Take part in the implementation of the international cooperation programmes/projects on hydrology and water resources as assigned by the Institute.
10. Undertake management of staff, finance and office facilities as assigned by the Institute.
11. Perform the periodical and/or ad-hoc reporting the work performance.
12. Implement other tasks as assigned by Director of IMH
